My Thanksgiving
I've got great expectations
I've got family and friends
I've got satisfying work
I've got a back that bends
For every breath, for every day of living
This is my Thanksgiving
For every moment of joy
Every hour of fear
For every winding road that brought me here
For every breath, for every day of living
This is my Thanksgiving
For everyone who helped me start
And for everything that broke my heart
For every breath, for every day of living
This is my Thanksgiving
lyrics by Henley
. I am thankful for rain and my garden and for all the beauty that I can visit. I am thankful for my blogger friends that comment and that I learn so much from. I am thankful for the bounty of food that is available to us. I am thankful for new friends and their kindness, generosity and patience. . I'm thankful for art, music and that I can paint. But mostly, I am thankful for those who love me in spite of me. My cup runneth over.

Amazing! Let's start with that painting! An excellent back ground color! It sets the tone for the whole painting and makes the simple objects stand fierce and beautiful! This is gorgeous! I love everything about your painting...thank you for inspiring me through your work! It is always wonderful to come across an artist who I can connect with through their work! I would hang this in my home in a heartbeat!!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful poem and sentiment! The world and consumerism tells us to keep wanting more and more and never be satisfied or content. Thankfulness is key to peace and contentment, I think.
ReplyDeleteThis is oh so lovely in words and your artwork. The painting is very striking.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving ~ FlowerLady
lovely, in every way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteBoth the card and the painting is stunning. American Thanksgiving is a unique tradition based on the story of American Indians and the pilgrims but every country would have the similar festival to thank for what we have but we forget to be thankful for the most time. I’m grateful to you for your constant visit and encouraging comment. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Sharon.
